Privacy Policy

Effective 28 October 2026 · Android package: com.iptvplayer.livetv.smartplayer

IPTV Player is a bring-your-own-playlist Android player. It does not supply channels, subscriptions, or streaming services.

At a glance

Your playlists, credentials, favorites, and watch history are stored on your device. The current app build does not include an advertising or analytics SDK.

Information the app handles

When you add an M3U playlist or Xtream account, the app stores its name, source URL or server address, and any username and password you enter. It also stores imported channel details, favorites, and recently watched channels in a local database. Playlist source details and Xtream credentials are encrypted using a key held by Android Keystore. Android backup is disabled for app data.

Network requests and other providers

The app connects to playlist URLs and Xtream servers you provide to import and refresh channels. When you play a channel or load its logo, the app contacts the relevant stream or image server. Those servers can receive your IP address, request details, and any credentials required by your provider. Their own privacy practices apply. The app does not operate those services or control their content.

Advertising and analytics

The current Android build does not integrate Google AdMob, another advertising SDK, or an analytics SDK. Publishing an app-ads.txt file identifies an authorized advertising seller for possible future use; it does not mean ads are currently displayed. This policy will be updated before an advertising SDK is added.

Website hosting

This policy page is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request data such as IP address, browser information, and request logs to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Sharing and retention

The developer does not receive your playlist database or credentials from the app. Information you enter is sent to your chosen playlist or stream provider as needed for the service. Local app data remains on your device until you delete a playlist, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

Your choices

You control which playlist sources you add. You can remove playlists in the app and clear all local data through Android Settings. For questions or privacy requests, contact the developer through the channel where you obtained the app.

Children

The app is not designed specifically for children. Parents and guardians should review the content and privacy practices of any playlist or streaming provider they choose to use.

Changes

We may update this page as the app changes. The effective date above will reflect the latest revision.
